The electrical socket used by a kitchen chimney should remain easily accessible after installation. Installing the socket where it becomes hidden behind inaccessible cabinets or fixed ducting can make future maintenance more difficult. During installation planning, technicians consider cable routing, accessibility, and safety while selecting the final connection point. Proper placement helps simplify inspection and future servicing without affecting the appearance of the kitchen.

Every bend in the exhaust duct changes the direction of moving air. Gentle curves create less resistance, while sharp ninety-degree bends disturb airflow and reduce suction efficiency. Multiple bends also encourage grease accumulation because air velocity decreases around corners. During installation, technicians usually try to keep the duct route as straight as possible with the minimum practical number of bends. This improves airflow while reducing unnecessary motor load.
Expect to pay roughly ₹799–₹2499 for Elica chimney install in Kalikapur. A minimum inspection fee of ₹350 applies if you decide not to proceed after the visit — this is adjusted against the final bill if you go ahead. All install work carries a 90-day SharkCool service warranty, covering workmanship on the job performed.
Before switching on a Elica chimney after installing, we test the electrical connection and confirm the ducting seal is airtight — not just that the fan spins.

Most modern kitchen chimneys use energy-efficient LED lighting to illuminate the cooking surface. LEDs generate less heat than conventional bulbs while providing bright, even lighting over the cooktop. During routine servicing, technicians may verify switch operation, light output and electrical connections to ensure the lighting system continues operating correctly. Good lighting improves visibility during food preparation and helps monitor smoke generation while cooking.
