A properly functioning kitchen chimney helps reduce grease particles that would otherwise settle on cabinets, walls, and countertops. Although it cannot eliminate all cleaning requirements, efficient smoke extraction contributes to a cleaner cooking environment and may reduce the frequency of deep kitchen cleaning.

The distance between the cooktop and the chimney directly affects smoke collection efficiency. Installing the chimney too high can reduce suction performance, while installing it too low may interfere with cooking and increase heat exposure. Manufacturers recommend installation heights based on chimney design and cooktop type. Maintaining the recommended clearance improves airflow, supports safe cooking, and allows the chimney to capture grease particles and smoke more effectively.
