Airflow around a kitchen chimney can be influenced by nearby ceiling fans, open windows or strong air-conditioning vents. These external airflow sources may temporarily change the direction of rising smoke. Evaluating both the ventilation system and the surrounding kitchen environment helps technicians understand overall airflow behaviour during cooking.

Routine maintenance removes grease before it significantly restricts airflow. Cleaning filters, inspecting visible components and monitoring extraction performance help maintain efficient ventilation while reducing long-term grease accumulation inside the chimney.

The chimney motor performs best when airflow remains unrestricted. Dirty filters, blocked ducts, or excessive grease accumulation can increase motor workload. Routine cleaning and timely maintenance help reduce unnecessary strain on the motor and support reliable long-term operation.
