If smoke appears to escape from one side of the cooktop more than the other, technicians may inspect chimney alignment, installation height, airflow direction and surrounding air movement. Uneven extraction is not always caused by the blower itself and may result from kitchen layout or ventilation patterns. Evaluating the complete installation helps identify the underlying cause.

Professional servicing considers the chimney as one complete ventilation system rather than a collection of separate parts. Technicians inspect filters, blower performance, duct routing, mounting hardware, electrical controls and airflow together. Evaluating the complete system provides a more accurate understanding of overall performance and supports reliable long-term operation.

During installation, technicians verify that the chimney projects sufficiently over the cooking surface to capture rising smoke effectively. Proper projection allows the intake area to cover the active cooking zone while maintaining comfortable working space for the user. Careful positioning improves smoke collection and contributes to a balanced kitchen appearance without interfering with everyday cooking activities.
