Long duct sections should be adequately supported to prevent sagging over time. Unsupported ducts may develop unnecessary bends that restrict airflow and increase vibration. During installation, technicians use appropriate supports wherever required to maintain a smooth airflow path from the chimney to the outdoor exhaust. Proper duct support also helps reduce stress on the chimney outlet connection.
