Grease accumulation develops gradually during normal cooking rather than appearing suddenly. Small deposits collect after every cooking session, eventually forming thicker layers that restrict airflow. Because this process is gradual, homeowners may not immediately notice reduced extraction performance. Periodic inspection and regular filter cleaning help maintain consistent airflow before significant restrictions develop.
Inspection of grease build-up and filter condition
Baffle/mesh filter removal and deep degreasing
Motor housing and duct-mouth cleaning
Auto-clean function check (if applicable)
Filter refitting and suction test
Final wipe-down and odour check
Grease filters continue collecting oil particles every time the chimney operates. Periodic inspection allows homeowners to observe grease accumulation before airflow becomes noticeably restricted. Cleaning filters at appropriate intervals helps preserve extraction performance, reduces grease reaching internal components and supports efficient operation of the complete ventilation system. Regular inspection often identifies maintenance needs before performance begins to decline.
Most Elica cleaning jobs in Chetla Kalikapur land between ₹499 and ₹1499 — island chimneys and longer duct runs sit at the higher end, simple wall-mounted units at the lower end. All clean work carries a 90-day SharkCool service warranty, covering workmanship on the job performed.

During routine servicing, technicians often verify that fan speed controls, lighting switches, touch panels and timers respond correctly. Functional testing confirms that electronic controls communicate properly with the blower and lighting systems. Reliable operation of the control panel contributes to convenient everyday use and helps identify developing electrical issues before they affect performance.
