A kitchen chimney removes smoke effectively only when fresh air can enter the room. Completely sealed kitchens sometimes restrict airflow, reducing extraction efficiency. During installation, technicians consider the overall ventilation of the cooking area, including windows, exhaust paths, and duct outlets. Balanced airflow helps the chimney remove smoke, steam, grease particles, and cooking odours more efficiently.

A successful kitchen chimney installation begins with inspecting the kitchen layout instead of immediately drilling the wall. The technician checks the cooktop position, available wall strength, electrical outlet, and the shortest practical ducting route. Proper planning helps avoid unnecessary structural modifications and ensures the chimney can efficiently remove smoke, steam, and cooking odours. Correct placement also allows enough space for future servicing, filter removal, and maintenance. A carefully planned installation generally results in better airflow, lower operating noise, and easier long-term maintenance.
