The efficiency of a ducted kitchen chimney depends heavily on the duct layout. A shorter duct with fewer bends usually allows smoother airflow than a long route with multiple sharp turns. Excessive bends can increase airflow resistance and reduce suction efficiency. During installation, technicians also inspect duct joints, outlet positioning, and sealing to help minimise air leakage and maintain consistent performance.
