The distance between the cooktop and the chimney directly affects smoke collection efficiency. Installing the chimney too high can reduce suction performance, while installing it too low may interfere with cooking and increase heat exposure. Manufacturers recommend installation heights based on chimney design and cooktop type. Maintaining the recommended clearance improves airflow, supports safe cooking, and allows the chimney to capture grease particles and smoke more effectively.

Every bend in a chimney duct increases airflow resistance. A duct route with too many sharp turns may reduce suction performance and increase motor workload. During installation, technicians generally choose the shortest practical duct path with smooth bends to support efficient airflow and reduce unnecessary pressure loss.
Most Inalsa installation jobs in Tangra Kalikapur land between ₹799 and ₹2499 — island chimneys and longer duct runs sit at the higher end, simple wall-mounted units at the lower end. All install work carries a 90-day SharkCool service warranty, covering workmanship on the job performed.
Before switching on a Inalsa chimney after installing, we test the electrical connection and confirm the ducting seal is airtight — not just that the fan spins.
