The outdoor exhaust cap protects the duct opening while allowing smoke to exit the building. During periodic inspection, technicians may check that the cap opens freely and is not obstructed by debris or nesting materials. Keeping the exhaust outlet clear helps maintain proper airflow and supports efficient chimney operation.

Airflow restrictions often develop gradually rather than suddenly. Slower smoke removal, stronger cooking smells, or increasing fan noise may all indicate that filters or ducting require attention. Identifying these early signs allows maintenance to be scheduled before extraction performance declines significantly.
Most Kaff cleaning jobs in Poddar Nagar land between ₹499 and ₹1499 — island chimneys and longer duct runs sit at the higher end, simple wall-mounted units at the lower end. All clean work carries a 90-day SharkCool service warranty, covering workmanship on the job performed.
Before switching on a Kaff chimney after cleaning, we test the electrical connection and confirm the ducting seal is airtight — not just that the fan spins.

Most modern kitchen chimneys use centrifugal blower technology instead of simple axial fans. A centrifugal blower pulls air into the centre of the impeller and throws it outward using centrifugal force, creating higher air pressure than ordinary fans. This design allows the chimney to move smoke through filters and ducting more effectively, especially when some airflow resistance exists. Proper filter maintenance helps the blower operate efficiently without unnecessary workload.
