The effectiveness of a kitchen chimney depends on the combined performance of every component rather than a single part alone. Correct installation, unrestricted airflow, clean filters, efficient duct routing and periodic maintenance all contribute to reliable smoke extraction. Maintaining the entire ventilation system helps improve indoor air quality, reduce grease accumulation and support dependable operation throughout the appliance's service life.

The total surface area of a grease filter influences how air passes through the chimney. Larger filter surfaces distribute airflow across a wider area, allowing grease particles to separate while maintaining lower airflow resistance. Keeping the entire filter surface clean helps preserve ventilation efficiency and supports consistent smoke extraction during everyday cooking.
