There is no single cleaning schedule suitable for every household. Families that prepare deep-fried foods every day usually generate significantly more grease than households that cook mostly steamed or boiled meals. Because of this difference, grease filters accumulate residue at different rates. Instead of following a fixed calendar, homeowners should also observe visible grease deposits, airflow strength and cooking odours. Regular inspection allows cleaning to be scheduled when performance actually begins to decline rather than waiting until heavy grease accumulation has already reduced airflow.
Inspection of grease build-up and filter condition
Baffle/mesh filter removal and deep degreasing
Motor housing and duct-mouth cleaning
Auto-clean function check (if applicable)
Filter refitting and suction test
Final wipe-down and odour check
Modern kitchen chimney filters often contain multiple layers that improve grease separation while allowing air to pass through efficiently. Mesh filters typically use several layers of fine aluminium or stainless steel mesh, whereas baffle filters guide airflow through multiple metal chambers. Each design aims to remove grease before it enters the blower. The effectiveness of any filter depends on regular cleaning because accumulated grease gradually blocks airflow regardless of filter design.
Most Prestige cleaning jobs in Ichapur land between ₹499 and ₹1499 — island chimneys and longer duct runs sit at the higher end, simple wall-mounted units at the lower end. You get a 90-day warranty on the clean work itself — if something related to our service goes wrong, we come back and fix it at no extra charge.

Many modern kitchen chimneys include removable oil collector trays that gather grease separated during Auto Clean operation or normal airflow. These trays make maintenance easier by collecting grease in a single accessible location rather than allowing deposits to spread throughout the appliance. Emptying and cleaning the oil collector periodically helps maintain hygiene while reducing grease accumulation inside the chimney.
