The external duct outlet should remain free from leaves, dust, bird nests, or other obstructions that may restrict airflow. During periodic maintenance, technicians often inspect the outdoor vent to ensure smoke can exit without resistance. A blocked outlet may reduce suction performance and increase operating noise even when the chimney itself is functioning correctly.
