A well-planned duct route allows smoke and cooking fumes to travel outside with minimal resistance. Excessively long duct runs or multiple sharp bends may reduce airflow efficiency and increase motor workload. Installers generally aim for the shortest practical route while following manufacturer recommendations. Smooth airflow supports better suction and more consistent extraction performance.
