A kitchen chimney is designed to remove more than visible smoke. During cooking, the appliance also extracts steam, airborne grease particles, cooking odours and excess heat. By continuously moving contaminated air toward the exhaust system, the chimney helps improve kitchen comfort while reducing grease accumulation on nearby surfaces. Proper installation and routine maintenance help maintain efficient removal of multiple airborne contaminants.

Kitchen chimneys rely on controlled upward airflow to capture smoke, steam and grease produced during cooking. The direction of airflow is influenced by the blower, chimney design and installation height. When airflow remains steady and unobstructed, contaminants move efficiently through the filters and into the exhaust duct. Proper installation and routine maintenance help maintain consistent airflow direction for effective ventilation.
