During extended cooking sessions, the blower operates continuously to maintain airflow above the cooktop. Stable airflow depends on unrestricted filters, properly connected ducting and adequate replacement air entering the kitchen. If any part of the ventilation path becomes restricted, smoke removal efficiency may gradually decrease. Routine maintenance helps preserve stable airflow during everyday cooking activities.
Inspection of grease build-up and filter condition
Baffle/mesh filter removal and deep degreasing
Motor housing and duct-mouth cleaning
Auto-clean function check (if applicable)
Filter refitting and suction test
Final wipe-down and odour check
A stable blower system depends on unrestricted airflow, balanced rotating components and clean ventilation pathways. Dirty filters or blocked ducts increase resistance, making it more difficult for the blower to move air efficiently. Routine maintenance allows the blower to operate under normal conditions while supporting steady smoke extraction during daily cooking.
Expect to pay roughly ₹499–₹1499 for Glen chimney clean in Sonarpur. A minimum inspection fee of ₹350 applies if you decide not to proceed after the visit — this is adjusted against the final bill if you go ahead. If the clean work fails within 90 days, the return visit to Sonarpur is free — no debate about whether it's covered.
Safety checks — secure mounting, ducting seal, and electrical connection — are part of every clean job, not an optional add-on.

Small changes in airflow, operating sound or smoke removal often develop gradually. Observing these changes during normal cooking helps identify maintenance requirements before major performance loss occurs. Early inspection may reveal dirty filters, restricted ducts or minor installation issues that can be corrected before they significantly affect ventilation efficiency.
