The capture area is the invisible zone where smoke, steam and grease are collected before spreading into the kitchen. A properly installed chimney creates a controlled upward airflow that keeps contaminants moving toward the filters. The size of the capture area depends on chimney width, mounting height and blower performance. Maintaining clean filters and unobstructed airflow helps preserve efficient smoke collection during daily cooking.

Careful inspection before drilling helps support secure installation while maintaining a professional appearance and reducing unnecessary vibration during operation.
