After completing installation, technicians normally verify airflow by operating the chimney at different fan speeds and confirming that exhaust air exits correctly through the outdoor vent. This final inspection helps ensure that filters, blower, ducting and electrical controls function together as a complete ventilation system before the installation is considered complete.

The blower performs best when air can move freely through filters and ducting. Heavy grease deposits, blocked outlets or restricted ducts reduce airflow and force the motor to work against greater resistance. Routine maintenance supports efficient blower operation while helping maintain steady smoke extraction during both light and heavy cooking.
