Before installation begins, technicians verify that the chimney model matches the kitchen layout, cabinet dimensions, and cooking appliance. Measurements such as chimney width, mounting height, duct outlet size, and electrical requirements are checked before drilling. Confirming compatibility in advance helps avoid unnecessary modifications during installation and ensures the appliance can operate as intended after commissioning.

Every kitchen has a different layout, and installation planning should take available wall space, cabinet positioning, electrical outlets, and duct routing into account. Before beginning the installation, technicians evaluate whether the chimney can be centered above the cooktop while maintaining the recommended installation height. They also check whether nearby cabinets, shelves, or windows could interfere with airflow or future servicing. Proper planning before drilling reduces unnecessary modifications later and helps ensure the chimney performs efficiently from the first day of use.

Observing chimney performance during normal cooking provides useful information about airflow efficiency. Smoke should move steadily toward the chimney intake without lingering around the cooktop. If extraction appears weaker than expected despite clean filters, further inspection of ducting, motor operation, or external ventilation may be appropriate.
