Airflow around a kitchen chimney can be influenced by nearby ceiling fans, open windows or strong air-conditioning vents. These external airflow sources may temporarily change the direction of rising smoke. Evaluating both the ventilation system and the surrounding kitchen environment helps technicians understand overall airflow behaviour during cooking.

Airflow may vary slightly depending on cooking intensity, kitchen ventilation and surrounding air movement. Observing gradual changes in smoke capture can help determine when inspection or routine maintenance may be beneficial for maintaining consistent performance.
