The motor rotates a blower wheel that generates negative pressure inside the chimney housing. This pressure difference draws smoke and cooking fumes through the filters before directing them into the exhaust duct. As filters become dirty or ducts become restricted, the motor must overcome greater resistance to maintain airflow. Keeping the air path clean allows the motor to operate more efficiently while maintaining consistent smoke extraction during cooking.

A professional installation involves much more than attaching the appliance to the wall. Technicians evaluate wall strength, cabinet clearance, electrical supply, mounting height, duct routing, outlet position, airflow restrictions and accessibility for future maintenance. After installation they verify lighting, fan operation, vibration levels and airflow before completing the job. Looking at the chimney as a complete ventilation system rather than an individual appliance helps ensure dependable performance, easier servicing and effective smoke removal throughout its service life.
