During cooking, microscopic grease particles become suspended in warm air together with smoke and steam. Without effective ventilation, these particles gradually settle on nearby cabinets, walls, ceilings and countertops, creating sticky deposits over time. A properly installed kitchen chimney captures a large portion of these airborne particles before they spread throughout the room. Clean grease filters and unobstructed airflow help maintain efficient particle removal while reducing the amount of grease accumulating on surrounding kitchen surfaces.

During installation, technicians align the center of the chimney directly above the cooking surface. Proper alignment ensures that smoke produced from every burner moves naturally toward the intake area. Even small positioning errors may reduce smoke capture efficiency during multi-burner cooking. Accurate alignment contributes to balanced airflow and professional installation quality.

The effectiveness of a kitchen chimney depends on the combined performance of every component rather than a single part alone. Correct installation, unrestricted airflow, clean filters, efficient duct routing and periodic maintenance all contribute to reliable smoke extraction. Maintaining the entire ventilation system helps improve indoor air quality, reduce grease accumulation and support dependable operation throughout the appliance's service life.
