The performance of a kitchen chimney depends not only on the appliance but also on how securely it is mounted. Before installation, technicians inspect the wall material to determine whether it can safely support the chimney's weight. Brick and concrete walls generally provide stronger support than hollow partitions, although each installation requires suitable anchors and mounting hardware. Proper alignment during installation helps reduce vibration, keeps the chimney level, and minimizes unnecessary stress on the mounting brackets over years of use.
Most Prestige installation jobs in Sonarpur land between ₹799 and ₹2499 — island chimneys and longer duct runs sit at the higher end, simple wall-mounted units at the lower end. If the install work fails within 90 days, the return visit to Sonarpur is free — no debate about whether it's covered.
Before switching on a Prestige chimney after installing, we test the electrical connection and confirm the ducting seal is airtight — not just that the fan spins.

Many kitchen chimneys include integrated lighting to improve visibility while cooking. During inspection, technicians check the operation of these lights along with switches and electrical connections. Proper lighting improves convenience and may help identify smoke or grease accumulation during cooking.
