The performance of a kitchen chimney depends not only on the appliance but also on how securely it is mounted. Before installation, technicians inspect the wall material to determine whether it can safely support the chimney's weight. Brick and concrete walls generally provide stronger support than hollow partitions, although each installation requires suitable anchors and mounting hardware. Proper alignment during installation helps reduce vibration, keeps the chimney level, and minimizes unnecessary stress on the mounting brackets over years of use.

Suction capacity determines how effectively a kitchen chimney removes smoke, steam, and cooking odours. Larger kitchens or homes where frying and grilling are common may require higher suction capacity than smaller kitchens with lighter cooking. Correct suction selection depends on kitchen size, cooking style, and duct layout rather than simply choosing the highest available specification.
Most Elica installation jobs in Madhyamgram land between ₹799 and ₹2499 — island chimneys and longer duct runs sit at the higher end, simple wall-mounted units at the lower end. If the install work fails within 90 days, the return visit to Madhyamgram is free — no debate about whether it's covered.

Installing a kitchen chimney at the recommended height above the cooktop helps maintain efficient smoke extraction while providing enough space for safe cooking. The ideal distance depends on the chimney model and the type of cooking appliance, such as gas or electric. Mounting the unit too high may reduce suction efficiency, while placing it too low can expose the appliance to excessive heat. During installation, technicians verify measurements carefully before drilling or fixing mounting brackets.
